Anxiety Therapy

What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is a natural response to stress or perceived threats, characterized by feelings of worry, nervousness, or fear. While everyone experiences anxiety from time to time, it becomes a concern when it’s persistent, overwhelming, or interferes with daily life. Anxiety can manifest physically (like a racing heart or sweating), mentally (such as constant worrying or racing thoughts), and emotionally (feeling restless or easily agitated). When anxiety becomes intense or chronic, it might require support or treatment to help manage and alleviate its impact.

How does counseling for anxiety work?

Using trauma conscious yoga methods and somatic practices, you and your therapist will learn the process of connecting internally and learn how to recognize your unique signs of anxiety in order to work through it. You will learn coping strategies tailored to you as offered by your therapist. And through a combination of verbal processing and internal, meditative work, you will explore the root of your feelings of anxiety and collaborate with your therapist to find ways to address.
